Bank of America – Security Fail

Today we were browsing around the web looking for new banking providers. Our current provider WellsFargo is suffering bad and their quality of service has been lacking. The fees have been increasing too, so time to shop around. One option for our business was Bank of America.

Imagine our surprise when we found out that Bank of America’s web site was optimised for Netscape 4 and IE4 – for “security” purposes.

We cannot bring ourselves (a technology company) to work with a bank that thinks IE4 is secure.

Having spent some time working on projects in the financial industry we are aware that they are behind the times on some things but really. Endorsement of a browser that is more than 15 years old?
