Edoceo offers consulting services for High Availability Linux systems.
GlusterFS is an excellent method to create a distributed replicated file system for high availability. By exposing parts of an individual host's file system as a brick data can be replicated across the room or across the globe. GlusterFS is initially complicated but after a few rounds through the volfile GlusterFS become much simpler to understand. We offer consulting services for this package strictly on an hourly basis with a four hour minimum commit.
Linux KVM is a reliable offering of Virtualization by the core Linux Kernel team. Edoceo has chosen to only support this and have dropped support for VMWare and Xen. We consider virtualization a High Availability offering as it allows Virtual Guests to be migrated from one physical host to another. This allows VGs go be migrated off of failing hardware to other hardware, or transparent switches to upgraded systems.
